There are many theories in the world of Harry Potter and I do my best to ignore most of them. There are ones about Hermione, Harry, Ginny, Draco… bla bla bla. However, the one I came across today took me completely by surprise.
I searched for my mother (you can do the same) and you will find a website, and it seems lots of photos, which I find quite funny. Anyway, the link is that she had a relationship with James Potter, the father of Harry Potter.
Everyone knows that my uncle Severus Snape was in love with Lily Potter née Evans and that his sister being in Gryffindor too would have been the perfect excuse to visit them but, I have put so much thought into her relationship with my father that I never thought of a relationship that she may have had inside school. In fact, it never crossed my mind. She was only a few years older than James Potter, a half-blood whose brother, of which she was protective of was in his class. There are tales of him bullying Severus but could this have been due to the information that Severina had given him whilst they were together? I don’t know. He dated Lily when they were older so my mother would have been with my father by then.
If we were to take it to another universe where Lily and Severus actually get together this would mean that James would be with Severina. I and Harry would still end up, I think, in Gryffindor. I would not be the heir of Slytherin. I think that Lily, James and Severina would still have died. Fate has a way of working and I would end up living with my cousin Harry Snape.
As it was LILY and JAMES did marry and HARRY POTTER was born. SEVERINA was the first to die. She was the love of VOLDEMORT. Severus knew of his movements and had LILY, JAMES and HARRY moved into a secret location in Godrics Hollow. Nine months later he had tracked them down and created a plan of action. If you know anything about this story, then you know that you have to be important, for VOLDEMORT to kill you personally. The theory in my head? That he thought, JAMES POTTER had killed SEVERINA. I know that he wanted their location, I know LILY was a muggle-born and I know PETER PETTIGREW gave him that location when he found out.
Today our children are cousins. We both count ourselves as “adopted” Weasleys. I am sure that my mother had other relationships when at school but this just really caught my eye.
