The secret creature is...
The Hippogryph!
This creature is half-bird, half horse. When you approach a Hypogriffin, you have to look it in the eye, without looking away. A bow will show that we mean well. If the hippogryph returns the bow, we can safely approach it. We met him through Buckbeak, one of Hagrid's pets, in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
