The Keeper's job is to keep the opponent's Quaffle from going through one of the three hoops. The hoops are at each end of the field, and one Keeper is assigned to each set. Example: Gryffindor is playing Slytherin at a game of Qudditch. Gryffindor's Keeper is trying to block Slytherin's Chasers from getting their Quaffle into Gryffindor's three hoops. Meanwhile, Slytherin's Keeper is trying to block Gryffindor's Chasers from getting their Quaffle into Slytherin's three hoops.

The Keeper wears thick padding all over to prevent injuries. You may need to use all body parts to block a Quaffle.
