My alarm went off and woke me out of a deep sleep. I blinked a few times then jolted upright. Today is the first day of school. I got up and walk downstairs. “Ada! I made pancakes!” My mom called to me. I rushed downstairs and gobbled up my pancakes. Once I finished eating, I went upstairs to brush my teeth and hair. After two boring minutes of mint flavored stuff filling my mouth, I brushed and french braided my fiery red hair. Then I tossed on a light teal shirt, some black ripped jeans, and some shiny white Adidas. I put my final things in my backpack and went downstairs to grab my lunch.
I ran outside to the bus stop and got on when it came. On the bus I met some new people, one named Ava, one named Angie, one named Hazel, and one named Jayla. We quickly became friends.
Now that we’re here, I’m a bit nervous, but it’ll be fun.
