The Queen
Chapter 3
Such power and authority
will as strong as a hundred elephants
and wit, sharper than any blade;
words could either soothe you, heal you,
or they could brutally tear you to pieces and leave you near dead.
Average height and weight,
dark hair curled,
fair skin projecting her internal strength
hailing from Cuba, lived in Florida, then Tennessee
beloved grandmother of mine.
Her throne-a LazyBoy recliner,
her crown- a hat of old wisdom and humor,
her scepter- a rod of intense courage and audacity,
her chalice- a mug of hot black coffee
her color was royal purple- no other shade would do.
Loved to cook, used herbs
healing draughts disguised as stews;
the elegant touch to all she made.
A second mother to me,
helped raise me- the Queen.
Chi-Chi, now in Heaven is,
watches over me and I feel blessed.
In my heart she owns her own castle
and helps me out in all my battles.
Chi-Chi, my grandma, powerful queen.
