The house-elf beckoned him through to a room, where Voldemort was waiting.

“Severus, how unexpected.” His voice was strong and pronounced.

“I have news My Lord.” It was evident that he was still in shock. “There has been a killing”.

“Yes of course, I ordered several.” Replied Voldemort.

“No Severina”. He said

“Severina? No she does not kill anyone!” laughed Voldemort his panic was growing, his voice getting higher, as though he knew what Severus was trying to say but didn’t want to believe it.

“I found her just now. Dead. Killing curse.” Voldemort looked away, his eyes grew red.

“No” his said in a whisper. “Not her” he was lost in a tremor. “Leave Severus”.

He nodded and went into the kitchen. There was no sign of the child or the house-elf.
