I have what I can only quantify as an “interesting” relationship with Luna Lovegood. We have a lot in common, and yet we are completely different. We are both able to see people and the world in a different way to others which gives us an interesting perspective on live. She was a Ravenclaw and I was a Gryffindor. We are both able to see thestrals and spend time with a lot of rare and dangerous creatures. Both of our mothers died when we were very young.

Luna lived with her father in Ottery St Catchpole, close to the Burrow, where the Weasleys live so I was always able to see her. He was the editor of the Quibbler and also had an interesting way of looking at life. One thing I used to like was when she would say “things turn up in the end and not always in the way we expect them to.” This is apparently, something her mother used to say and something that she lives by, even now.

I attest that I have found it to be true. She is intelligent, cunning, strong, defensive and loves to party (although not dance). I wouldn’t say that Luna and I are the best of friends but our paths have crossed on many an occasion and we always welcome eachother with open arms. People used to tease her at school but they were just jealous of her, because she had found herself. Her intelligence was a self of worth and creativity that others could not understand.
She is now a very happy woman. I hope that we get together soon because I have missed our chats. They are entertaining to say the least. Mrs Luna Scamander, and family. I’ll see you soon, well, when I can get out of this place.
