The start of my “involvement” into Fred and George’s escapades started in 1994. I used to give everyone puzzle boxes for midwinter and I had an amazing idea that, as they had the joke shop idea to give them a box to put gadgets and gismos in. The one they had been using was tired and falling to pieces. I created them a new one. It was fun because Cedric was busy with the tournament and it became a way for me to pass my time. They were coming up with more and more crazy and elaborate plans and I ended up being the business side of the whole venture. That was how we were at least setting up the grand design. Plus, it had the added bonus of me being able to take things from my uncle’s private store every so often. By the time it got round to the final tournament everything was ready to go. Everything they were doing was amazing, they had no way of doing accounts so I would end up with that job or asking Hermione. Who seemed happy to help although a little preoccupied with Harry.

In 1995, we were all living together at Grimmauld Place, the centre for the Order of the Phoenix. I wasn’t in the best condition when they arrived and didn’t want much to do with anyone. They decided it was their “duty” to make me laugh. I became the test subject of everything except the skiving snackbox. If it didn’t make me laugh then they decided it wasn’t strong enough. They used my bedroom on the 4th floor as a laboratory. Kreacher, the house-elf was forever having to tidy up after them. That and having Buckbeak in the house made in an irritable companion.

The next few months, we were more family than we had ever been. It gave me something to focus on when I was healing, something fun, something exciting and not about death. Some things worked, some didn’t and I was still a test subject.

I won’t take credit at all for what they came up with but it was increadible. We created a design for what became Weasley Wizarding Wheezes. Some of the ideas were mine but I can’t say anything. Not here.
