Accalia hated missing any school, so the day after her transformations, she'd waste no time in getting back to them. Exhausted and drooping, she headed to her lesson.
"Accalia, Merlin's beard, I swear you look so much worse than any other girl ever does at this time," George said.
"That's rude."
Fred looked at Accalia with suspicion. He'd been doing some poking around and something about Accalia's symptoms were off. He knew.
"Maybe that's because she's a werewolf."
"Shhh," Accalia hissed, panic rising up in her, "Not so loud."
"Do you deny it?" Fred arched his eyebrow.
"No.." Accalia said slowly. "Look. I.."
"It's fine. You don't trust us. I get it." the sincerity in his voice was heartbreaking, like he truly did get the fact she didn't trust him.
"That's not true!" Accalia said, her voice breaking. "Look, you don't know what it's like, do you? Nobody does, so don't pretend to understand. You have no idea the pain I went through last night, every month since I was born! Do you know how difficult it'll be for me to get a job when I leave school? No, you won't have even thought about it, because you don't have to. I don't blame you. But society doesn't look at you and automatically think, outcast, do they? Because that's how people would look at me if they knew! That's why I tell no one! But you two, do you know why I didn't tell you? I was worried that you'd do something to try and help me and end up getting hurt."
"Of co-" Fred realised something. "You care about us?"
"Of course I do."
Fred looked astounded and it kind of hurt Accalia to realise how life must be for them, sure they didn't turn into a werewolf monthly but they did have troubles of their own. Accalia cared deeply about the twins .
"I understand, it'll be okay, Accalia."
