Austin awoke to Lenore screeching for attention. He went over to the bird, petting it while feeding it owl food. It nibbled at his fingers lovingly and stretched its wings, flapping them heavily.

"You know they have an owlery for them to stay in." said Bob getting up and stretching himself.

" I can't leave Lenore in there. The other owls might pick on her." he said still petting the bird.

"Whatever man." he said wiping his eyes.

"Hello, everyone." Elizabeth sang as she hugged the three boys.

"Hey, Libby." they said tiredly.

"Wake up guys we have our first classes in 30 minutes." she said winking as she left the room.

"Ugh, classes." Danny said yawning as he got dressed in his robes and walked out as well.

Austin quickly put on his glasses, robes, and scarf, grabbing his books and wand. Bob started to do the same as Austin left the room.

The boy quickly ran down the corridor and out of the common room. He came to the moving staircases and checked his schedule. His classes were different from his friends and none of them had class at the same time. He was by himself.

Most of his first lessons were entrance lessons mostly about safety and introductions into the studies of each class. Astronomy and Defense Against the Dark Arts became his favorite classes, while Potions became his least. All of the classes gave him essays and chapters to read for homework. He even already had upcoming quizzes in the following lessons to study for.

He walked into the Great Hall to sit and finish some of the work he had already started. When he noticed a whole bunch of students talking to one of the professors preparing for the second year students classes. Clearing his throat he said in a squeaky voice.

"H...hello."

Some of the students didn't pay any attention to him, but few did.

"Hello." said two Ravenclaw girls. One of them happened to be a prefect, he could tell from the prefect badge on her robes.

"My name is Austin, nice to meet you." he said.

"Oh, the one from yesterday night, you're a first year. My name is Molina S." the Ravenclaw prefect said.

"And mine is Marie Ferguson." said the other Ravenclaw girl who walked over sat on a ledge.

"Hello Austin. I'm Professor Rubedo." said the professor going back and talking to the students asking questions.

Austin sat at the table and poured a mug of coffee. He was addicted to the muggle drink.

"So what do you all do in here?" he asked

"We just talk to each other about classes and stuff happening around here." Molina said sitting down next to him.

Before, he could say another word, one of the students who was a hufflepuff said a spell he had never heard as fire shot out of his wand and was quickly reduced by Professor Rubedo.

"There is no magic allowed in this hall, sir. Especially, spells of that kind." he said sternly at the student.

"Sorry professor." the student said innocently smiling.

This was a shock to Austin as he was about to practice his spells in the Great Hall. He was happy it wasn't him who got yelled at for that mistake.

"So no magic in here, huh?" he asked Molina.

"Yep, no magic." she answered.

"Alright, I will keep that in mind while in here." he said opening one of his books. It was a book called Magical Beasts and Where To Find Them, his father had bought it for him in Flourish and Blotts when they were shopping for his textbooks.

"I know that book. It's a very good read and shows you almost every magical creature discovered." Marie said.

"Yeah, Im studying to get a career in the study of magical creatures like my father." Austin said.

"Anything about animagus' in there?" she said with a smug look. This made Austin jump in fear. How did she find out he was an animagus?

"No, animagus' are wizards in disguise. Though they look and act like the animal, they are still a person and are not portrayed as beasts." he answered.

"Then check this out." she said.
