The potion:
The Wolfsbane potion is the only potion known to this day for a werewolf to heal "harmless" during tranforamtion.
This potion is very difficult to brew. The potion must be drunk the day before the transformation.
How long does the transformation take:
It lasts five days, so five days of suffering.
Example 1: While Remus Lupine was at Hogwarts as a professor of defense against the dark arts, Severus Snape was brewing the Wolfsbane potion for him.
Example 2: When Remus Lupine was a student at Hogwarts, he went to the Whomping Willow, which was planted especially for this reason, every month on a full moon. To make Remus less dangerous, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black have learned to become animagis to keep Remus company during full moons.
