Chapter 16
When I noticed she fell asleep, I sighed slightly. I gently moved her head from my shoulder and onto a pillow. I threw and blanket overtop of her and smiled slightly. I sat where I was before, not caring much how close her head was to my lap. I looked around and sighed. Some people started coming in, considering everyone had to be out of the halls by this hour. I hoped none of the people would be Ginny. Or Seamus. Or Ron. They’d all say something that might make me mad or wake Renè up and get her mad. I played with her hair gently, being sure not to wake her up. I didn’t notice I was staring at her until someone walked up to me. I bit the inside of my lip and looked over. Renè opened her eyes and looked at me, feeling me move. Guess I’m the reason she’s up, but whatever. I look at the person before realizing who it is. A smiling Hermione. “Do you need something?” I ask as Renè sits up. “Well, actually, I was just wondering if you two were together. I mean, you’re playing with her hair as she’s sleeping and she doesn’t seem to care.” Hermione said. Me and Renè both turn red in the face. “N-no we aren’t.” Renè responded once she realized I didn’t know what to say. Hermione frowned and sighed. “Oh alright.” she said before walking off.
