Chapter 13
I swear time stopped as he took a step closer. I guess I won’t know for sure that it did though. I can’t figure out how to break my gaze and keep walking. It feels like his eyes petrified me. I just forgot everything I knew as he looked at me. Next thing I know he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear and blushes. I bit my lip and totally lose it. I run off, completely embarrassed. And it wasn’t until I was a bit away from him before I realized the corridors were empty...and I just ditched, my crush, my best friend, the one and only, Harry James Potter. I had to keep going, even though I wanted to turn around and wrap my arms around him. I ran back to the Common Room and collapsed onto the couch. Hot tears streamed down my face. I honestly had no clue why. I guess from the embarrassment I felt and totally ditching him. Soon later someone sits next to me and wraps their arms around me. Not knowing, nor caring, who it was I started to sob into their shoulder. After a while they spoke. “Hey, what’s wrong? Did I do something?” They asked. That’s when I realized who it was. Harry. Why did he follow me and come back? Why did he even bother to comfort me? I guess he really does care a lot about everyone...
