Spells are crucial part to nearly every witch or wizard's daily life

One of the most ancient spells is "Abracadabra" which is mocked by many as just a word used by stage magicians. Well that as well as an even older variation of that spell, "Abaxacatabax" can be used for ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING involving manifestation or attraction, letting something happen, even banishing, slowing down, removal, etc. depending on intention and wand motions or how you write it. If you write it over and over dropping one letter until it forms an inverted triangle  it will be used for attraction or manifestation because if you look at it like this- the A which is the point at which the magic starts from the wand casting spells- fills outward until you have the full word going across your horizon (at which point the magic will have taken effect)  If you write it as an upright triangle it will be used for banishment or removal, etc etc. because if you look at it like you have your target all infront of you now and you want it gone.. so little by little it just goes away. 

It is important when writing a full lengthy spell that you include different factors- the problem, what you want to change, and any other important symbolism.  An example could be this-

There short spells too

• Alohamora- can be used to unlock things. realistically can be used to unlock secrets kept away, can unlock closed up feelings, can unblock energy or chakras, can unlock certain reactions and emotions in others and can be used to counter any spells aimed at locking something closed.
• Accio- can be used to summon energies, outcomes, entities, etc.  Basically visualize what you want summoned before you and cast the spell. Shortly after you should experience the spell taking effect.
• Aresto Momentum- can be used to slow things down, whether it is a speeding car, or situations escelating quickly. To ease up on relationships that may be going too fast, or so many things thrown at you at once will slow things down so you can do what you need to do.
• Lumos- can shine divine and or inner light into darkness to combat negativity, or to give mental illumination or clarity.
• Legilimens- can be used as a substitute or an enhancement for telepathy
• Stupefy- will "stun' or halt the target right in their tracks. useful for when you are driving and you notice someone is about to pull out right infront of you without paying attention, or when someone gets confrontational right in your face- that's a good time to stupefy!
• Impedimenta- can be used to prohibit or hinder someone from doing something
• Mimble Wimble- can be used as a minor jinx to keep yourself or someone else from saying something that ought not to be said, good example would be using it on someone who you told a secret so they cannot tell the secret. should they attempt to, they would get tongue tied each time.
• Confundo- can cause the target to become confused or bewildered
• Protego- used as a protective shield or bubble around you or a target- aimed at protection against anything you specify in your mind
• Protego Totallum- same as Protego only this works on a larger scale
• Salvio Hexia- Protection against curses, hexes, or any magic aimed with negative intentions
• Beare-basic blessing charm, specify blessing in mind and then cast
• Expecto Patronum- conjures or summons a guardian to your assistance (if you do not specify if its angel or spirit guide etc. it likely will be your spirit animal). this can be used against negative influences so they protect you, or if you conjure or summon spirit animal they can deliver messages to others or spy on locations for you.
• Ascendio- used as an ascension charm, lift up mood or positivity, lift up to the surface any dormant qualities or memories you want outward.
• Descendo- used to lower or supress energies or outward qualities you want to lower
• Tergeo- used as a charm to remove energy from something/one/place
• Depulso- used to banish energies, entities, thoughts, etc
• Diffindo- used to 'cut bonds' such as any connections to an ex friend or ex lover, or any association with something or someone.. "cutting people out of your life" is a good use for this spell.
• Reparo- used to mend any broken bonds that you wish to fix such as making ammends in a fight with a friend or spouse. can also be used between two others.
• Colovaria- used to change the color of energy to affect spells or to be used in chromatotherapy.
• Expulso- used to expell energies out of the target or can be more direct and focused on pushing something out of somewhere, you want neighbors to move, you want bad thoughts to leave your mind, you want your dog to hurry up and take a shit already.. multiple uses.
• Evanesco- used to let things go unnoticed until they basically are just 'gone' from your reality. the spell takes a gradual effect.
• Specialis Revelio- Used as a substitute or an enhancement for psychometry.
• Homenum Revelio- used as a kind of detection for people in the area
• Spiritus Revelio- used as a kind of detection for spirits in the area
• Carpe Retractum- seizing something and pulling it toward you (you must work your part toward it too) such as grabbing a job opportunity, or having a hold on the last copy of a book you want on the shelf where others likely will overlook it but you must make effort to go after it. etc.
• Maledictum-basic curse specified in your mind
• Reducio- used to reduce pain, reduce negativity, make a situation or reaction smaller than it is, can be used for weightloss.
• Engorgio-used to magnify spells, magnify emotions or energy, gain weight or height, etc.
• Incendio- used to ignite with fiery passion anything put into action, increase drive to do something, or set fires in the astral plane.
• Portus-opens portals or 'windows'
