Cleaning Up

Chapter 3
A precaution you must take with this plant is to not prod it. This plant can also be used as a defense mechanism mainly for itself or other plants or creatures *2. If you do end up maybe bumping into the plant or a friend internally/playfully prods at it, there is a solution. Just one reminder, keep your mouths closed *3
When prodded, the boils of the plant will squirt a substance called Stinksap. Stinksap is a non-poisonous goop or liquid. If squirted on, you may smell a bit like cheese dipped socks for a few days once cleaned off. And speaking of cleaning off, there is a spell that can be used to clean up this smelly mess *4.

*2 - The Mimbulus Mimbletonia is sometimes used as a defense to guard the branches of the Bowtruckles. Also, when meddled with themselves they will defend themselves with their Stinksap.

*3 - In Neville's fifth year at Hogwarts, accidently set off the plant, and Stinksap was squirted all over the compartment. Harry Potter was inside this compartment at the time along with other friends and received a mouthful of it.

*4 - Ginny Weasley used the Scouring Charm, "Scourgigy" to remove all the stink from the compartment.
