Chapter 1
Harry Potter Characters: A Good Impression

Main idea: There are many Harry Potter characters who make a good impression to people and kids watching/reading!
Hermione: We all know Hermione as a girl with a sharp mind, and a just as sharp attitude. But there may be something behind all her brains. Maybe......Practice?? I mean, sooner or later we're all going to hear the saying "Practice makes perfect" but it really is true. Hermione shows that anyone can be smart, even if you don't want to be.
Hermione also shows much thoughtfulness to house elves throughout the fourth and fifth HP books. That is very kind of her, even though the house elves don't really like it. Hermione shows that everyone is an equal. Even "Mudbloods".

Luna Lovegood: We know Luna as the weird girl on the train, with the weird glasses and earrings. But I know her as the girl who didn't care. Luna is a very quiet but dreamy girl, and believes in many things that may or may not be real. But when those people make fun of her for it, does she run into the bathroom and cry? No! Luna just walks away. Luna shows that it's okay to be different, if not, even better to be different!! And I think that is a trait everyone should have.
Ron Weasley: Ron Weasley May be known for his not-so-perfect spell against Draco in the First book/movie, but that doesn't mean that’s all he is made of. Ron shows the most loyalty to Harry than probably every other character in the books!! (Sorry Dobby) Ron stays loyal to Harry within all the books and all the movies. (okay, he might be a little off in the seventh and he got mad at Harry in the fourth book, but that's not the point.)
Ron Weasley is always there for Harry, and I want to always be there for my friend and also sister, Kylyn.

King’s Cross Station

King's Cross Station is the unforgettable location where Hogwarts students are transported to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express. The Hogwarts Express arrives at Platform 9 3/4, a platform which is concealed from Muggles, away from the Wizarding community travelling to Hogwarts.
When the Hogwarts Express was established as the new method of transport for Hogwarts students by Ottaline Gambol, the Ministry of Magic had some concerns about how this would affect the Muggles. If plans went ahead to build a Wizarding station right in the middle of London, there would certainly be some severe suspicions from nearby Muggles. Instead, the Minister from 1849-1855, Evangeline Orpington, came up with the idea of using an existing Muggle station as base for the Hogwarts Express, and creating a new platform for Hogwarts student which was hidden away from suspicious Muggles.

The Ministry of Magic then decided to use King's Cross Station, a busy station in London, as the new location for the concealed platform where the Hogwarts Express would depart from. It was then that Platform 9 3/4 was introduced to the Wizarding community, as the new location where Hogwarts students should travel to in order to catch the Hogwarts Express.
Overall, this plan worked highly well for young Hogwarts student, with the exception of minor issues, concerning wizards or witches dropping unusual magical items on the station, or diverting too much attention when passing through into Platform 9 3/4, however the Ministry is usually there on the day of departure to ensure Muggles are not suspicious of any magical behavior.

J.K. Rowling choose King's Cross Station to be the amazing location where the Hogwarts Express was to depart from because that was the location where her own parents met. It was for this specific personal reason that she chose this to be the location for the departure of the Hogwarts Express.

Mr. Ollivander

Mr Ollivander is from Great Britain, although the name 'olive tree' does not come from the UK.
He is a big manufacturer of magic wands, of which he has a shop in London, in Diagon Alley.
His passion for wands came from the family business, which ran a shop of magic wands.
Mr. Ollivander assures us that the best baguettes do not happen in a jiffy. He believed that the best wands had a very powerful core.

Here are some things about Mr. Ollivander, I hope I've taught you something, and thanks for reading!

The Basilisk

"Of the many fearsome beasts and monsters that roam our land, there is none more curious or more deadly than the Basilisk, known also as the King of Serpents. This snake, which may reach gigantic size, and live many hundreds of years, is born from a chicken's egg, hatched beneath a toad. Its methods of killing are most wondrous, for aside from its deadly and venomous fangs, the Basilisk has a murderous stare, and all who are fixed with the beam of its eye shall suffer instant death. Spiders flee before the Basilisk, for it is their mortal enemy, and the Basilisk flees only from the crowing of the rooster, which is fatal to it." —Most Macabre Monstrosities (JK Rowling)

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Ginny Weasley is possessed to open the Chamber of Secrets and let loose the monster inside. That monster was a basilisk. It can kill with a single glance and will petrify you if you see it through or in something. It’s fangs are also one of the only things that can be used to destroy a Horcrux. I would not like to come face to face with a basilisk. Salazar Slytherin was angry that muggle borns were allowed at Hogwarts, and created the Chamber of Secrets which only he or his heir could open. The legendary “Slytherin’s Monster” placed inside. The basilisk.

Fun Fact

Well, here is today’s fun fact… and it is quite interesting!
Anyone ever wondered what Voldemort's boggart was???
Rowling has said that if Voldemort saw a boggart it would embody his own corpse, since death was always his greatest fear.
Interesting! Who would have imagined that Lord Voldemort would have that Boggart!
