CHAPTER 6

Chapter 6
27 days, 28 days… She was still counting. Contacting, Amos. Life had become one of those monotonous tasks that you just had to fulfil. Then came the arrival of Harry Potter. The boy that everyone loves. The boy they can’t get enough of.

It was late in the evening and a whole group had joined in the kitchen. She didn’t want to eat but started making her way down anyway. She wasn’t paying much attention as she walked down the stairs but they had formed a group on the second floor, landing. What were they all up to? She looked up and saw Harry. Her eyes were huge when she saw him. He had been the last person to see Cedric alive. When they were finally allowed down for dinner, she just stared at him. She needed to know. The pain that she had felt in her throat had travelled done and was now in the pit of her stomach. It was a sickening feeling.

Harry felt uncomfortable. It seemed he had not been doing well either. As they went to their bedrooms, she pulled him aside.

“tell me what happened”.

“what? when?” he replied

“you know when. I need to know how Cedric died” he stared at her.

“nobody’s told you?”

It was something that had been eating her up. No nobody had told her. Nobody had said anything. His name had not been mentioned. He was kept as far from her as possible, or at least it felt like it. The way he said it was even more uncomfortable.

“Which room is yours?”

“Fourth floor, come when they have all left.” she replied.

At nine o’clock the door opened and Harry took off his invisibility cloak, what was left of it. He closed the door and wondered if the girl standing in front of him could really handle the truth. What he had seen. His hand trembled slightly.

“It was a portkey, the cup.” Her look became quizzical as she sat down on the bed. “Moody, I mean Barty Crouch transfigured it so that it would take us to little, I don’t remember, it was a graveyard.”

“Little Hangleton.” She said flatly.

“yes, how did you know?”

“It’s not important.”

“There were Death Eaters lots of them. And Wormtail, I mean, Peter Pettigrew, that held Voldemort well, sort of and then they had this ceremony and Pettigrew killed him”.

There was a lot of information being thrown at her all at once. “did he suffer?”

“No, he asked me to bring his body back to his father”.

“I see.” She said quietly.

There was a long and uncomfortable pause. Between the two of them. Harry was shifting his weight from side to side and Louisa tried to think as quickly as she could.

“What do you mean a ceremony?”

“um, well” Harry wasn’t sure if he should go any further. Nobody believed him and he was speaking to the daughter of Voldemort. “They’ve found a way to bring him back”.

A look of panic crossed her face. She had already seen him alive but not as a real human. Not a proper body.
“Voldemort is back, he’s alive” said Harry.

A million things crossed her mind. If her father could come back could she bring Cedric back? This also meant she wasn’t an orphan any longer. She actually had a father. Why had her uncle not wanted her to know? Why was everyone keeping this from her?

“Thank you, Harry”
