Chapter 5
It had started again. Sandwiches, were just the bottom of what seemed like a very deep whole. It was a whole that nothing seemed to be able to fill. Everyone tried and Everyone failed because unlike last time this wasn’t a solution that could be mended. Nothing they could say was going to bring him back nothing they could do was going to heal the pain she had but couldn’t describe.
She watched as the owls flew in and out. She knew they were about her. She knew they were worried. But she couldn’t do anything but watch them silently. Fixed as she was in this position. She hardly left the room of the fourth floor. She couldn’t lift her feet high enough for them to move.
There came a tap on the door, and expecting to see Snape or Tonks she turned. Instead Molly and Arthur Weasley were at the door. There was no need for words. Louisa ran and gave them both a hug.
“Sorry we couldn’t be here sooner” said Arthur, “It’s been a bit manic”.
She didn’t care. Two people that she cared a LOT about were here and ready to hug her. She couldn’t have been happier.
“Where is everyone?” She asked “Did you come alone? Ginny? George? Fred? Ron?” she hesitated. What if something had happened what if there was a problem. It suddenly hit her that she needed to know that everyone was alright. She needed to know as soon as possible.
“Everyone is fine, and yes everyone is with us so you have the run of the Weasleys for a while.”
This seemed a strange concept. Firstly, everyone was fine and secondly, all the Weasleys were there? She was hesitant at first but eventually got up and made her way downstairs. It seemed as though everyone was having a great time exploring the house and were nervous, to talk to her.
The arrival of the Weasleys didn’t stop her from grieving. Didn’t stop her from hurting. It just made the house noisier, busier and meant that she spent more time in her room. It also didn’t stop her from counting 25 days, 26 days. She would continue to stand by the window, she and Padfoot would go to the park and the Weasleys would join in, making it seem like a normal family in the park with their dogs.
