Chapter 4) Week 3 - Your Storage Room

Chapter 4

My Storage Room - By Ruth Jarvis

In this essay I will be describing my storage room in detail. From it's location to the different compartments inside.

The storage of potions is very important as some potions are sensitive to light (such as developing solution) or maybe need to be temperature controlled.

My storage room is located in the basement of my home. I feel that this is the ideal place as it lacks natural light and is isolated from the rest of the  house. The door leading down to the basement has a magical lock on it and also a cloaking spell so that it hidden from normal view.

The storage room itself is split into separate sections. These are as follows;

The first section is a standard shelving unit for potions that are used most often. The shelves are of varying sizes in order to accommodate different bottle sizes and shapes.

The next section is for potions that have not yet matured. Each is clearly labelled with the date that it was brewed and the expected maturity date.

Next there is a section for potions that are the most sensitive to light and they are all in tinted phials.

Finally at the back of the room there three more separate sections. One is for poisons, this has a separate shield enchantment protecting it, one is for antidotes and last of all a refrigerated section for potions that need to be chilled, it also has a hot setting for any potions that need to be kept heated.
