Theodosia walked to the back of her school bus and sat down. She pulled out peter rabbit, and began to read, she was about to start third grade, her mother was busy so, she had to go alone. Peter rabbit was the first and last thing her father gave her, besides her bracelet, she had never taken off her bracelet and was playing with it when someone slumped next to her, she looked over to see a boy with hazel eyes, curly hair, and freckles. The eyes. She stared at them. The boy looked over and grinned showing multiple missing teeth. "My name is Philip Hamilton, who are you?" He said looking at her, up and down. "Theodosia Burr." She replied staring at him. He laughed "Why are you staring at me?" She blushed and looked away, at her book. Suddenly her fathers Letter slipped out and Philip picked it up. "Dear, Theodosia what to say to yo-" She snatched it back her cheeks red. She was about to say something when they arrived at the school. She put it in her pocket and pushed past Philip who was holding her wrist. "Let me go, please, it is not right to hold onto a lady." She said pulling away, and stomping off the bus.
Philip sat there thinking about how beautiful she was, he wanted to apologize but had been too shy, he had just turned eight but was very shy, and quiet. He took out a notebook and noted: Poem for Thoedesia. He knew he had spelled her name wrong but he did not care, he hoped off the bus, and ran o classs, sitting by her.
