Shakthi, after 2 months of nonstop searching had found no clue as to where the stone was. he kept walking through bushes and shrubs in the forest, with nothing to show for his effort. He sharpened his blade, preparing to fight the next enemy. He saw an angered thestral charging towards him. he didn't flinch, just like his mentor taught him. But the thestral was fearless and enraged. It was then only that Shakthi realized this was a wild thestral. No odds of being tamed or subdued. He pulled out his blade in hope of evading it. He thrusted the blade into the thestral's left shank. No sign of pain, the thestral turned around to try and impale him with a branch. He got bludgeoned in the right arm. he kept fighting, bravely. He would make sure that the Rano Legacy lived on. He made three cuts on the horse's chest and sprinted. He knew it would do no good, but he had a plan. Shakthi would climb a tree and spring off of it on to the horse's back. Then he would use some rope to attempt to gain control of it. He raced towards a pine tree, and jumped of the lowest branch. He stabbed the knife just below the thestral's neck and put a long rope around it. He had survived. He now could use this thestral to get from place to place faster. But this ally would not last long, as he did not know.
