GRINGOTTS
Chapter 1
Once upon a time there was a young girl. She had recently lost, it seemed to be her whole family, her whole reason for being. There had been a war. An epic war between two people. One would loose and one would win, that was to be inevitable. What she lost felt to be the most precious of all.
When we are hit with situations such as these, we can choose our sides, pick our battles. Some, like this young, scared girl, chose to run. She ran and kept running until it felt like she could run no further. Five months had passed before she chanced going into the vault that she had inherited in Gringotts. Five months before she discovered the treasures that lay within.
One of these treasures was called a time turner. Few people were allowed them and they had to have permission from the Ministry of Magic. It was no surprise to her that something like that would turn up in her vault, after all, she was related to the darkest of all wizards. Still she cupped it in her hands. She had been through such torment and loss recently. Could this be the answer?
She thought about it, slipped it around her neck and left with the goblins. There were things inside that she didn’t want to think about. Things that called to her and she had to force herself to ignore them. She returned to Knockturn Alley with a satisfied look. The house-elf had dinner prepared but she went to the basement instead. She studied the time-turner for all manner of disagreeable curses, charms and dark magic forces but there were none. It wasn’t even a fake. It was the real thing. There was only one question she had left now. What should I do with it?
The first thought came to her were people that she had lost. Her mother, Cedric, Sirius, Dumbledore, Tonks, Lupin, Fred, her father and her uncle.
What if I could also save more people? by saving my mother, does that mean that the Potters don’t die? That they won’t live a bad life? She was starting to feel drowsy, delirious even, with the anticipation of so much power and the possibilities. She knew all about time-turners. As an Auror in training it was a special part of their training. She put it around her neck, checked the time, and turned it.
