Why Is History Important?
Chapter 1
There are four reason why History is important:
(Note: this is taken straight from Professor Balog's midterm study guide)
1. We live and make it all the time.
2. We need to know it to survive.
3. If wizards didn't study history, we wouldn't know there was a statute set forth to separate us from muggles or why various laws were formed.
4. Without studying history, wars might break out, and we wouldn't know why.
