In The Common Room
Chapter 2
I know what you're thinking, reader. 'Why on earth are we starting their story here?'. You see, I think this is one of the most important years, so I though it would be best to start here! Anyway, here we go...
Phew. The second task is over! Harry slumped back in the common room, next to Ginny. He put his arm around her and pulled her in for a hug.
"Well done, Harry" she said, smiling.
"Thanks Ginny. I couldn't have done it without you cheering me along" Harry replied.
"You couldn't hear us from under the water though" Ginny chuckled.
"You are so cute when you're a pedant" Harry laughed.
Ron walked in after Hermione. He saw Harry and Ginny on the sofa and gave them a grimace. Ever since they had started dating, Ron had not talked to them much. The idea of his sister dating his best friend seemed to be to weird for him to handle. He went straight up to the boy's dorm. Hermione ignored him and went over to the sofa.
"Congrats Harry!" she said, sitting in the large armchair next to them.
"Thanks Mione! I wonder what the third task will be" he said.
"Yeah... I also can't wait for the ball!" Hermione said.
"What ball?" Ginny and Harry asked.
"Didn't you know? Well, Professor McGonogall pulled me aside the other day. She told me she wanted someone she could trust, which was me of course"
Harry and Ginny looked at each other.
Hermione carried on: "Anyway, she told me there was going to be a lesson in a few days, in place of Potions. She told me it was for dance practice. I asked her what on earth she was talking about, and she said there would be a ball in celebration of the Triwizard Tournament. A Yule Ball"
"Really? Well I hope you find a date. I know who I'm going with, that's for sure" Harry said, turning to Ginny and touched their foreheads.
"Thanks Harry. I don't know about Ron though... And I already have a date. Viktor Krum? He asked me a few days ago. It explained why I felt like I was being followed" Hermione said "I mean, Ron doesn't seem to want to talk to us. Not for a long time. And I have no clue as to who he'll be going with"
