Chapter 2
Congratulations to Noelle!

Here is his story!

Starquarters Agents - Ella the Quick
Case file: 1501
Situation: Agent Ella got into an action scuffle with an enemy spy from [Unknown Agency]. She managed to best the adult spy despite being a young girl. We at Starquarters applaud her courage.

Ella reloaded her gun. She was kneeling behind the rubbish bin, waiting for her quarry to come along. This was no time to take a breather. The quarry had revealed themselves to be an enemy spy from the agency that had been undermining Starquarters for so long.

The enemy spy stepped into the alleyway. How cliche. Ella figured she could get him from where she was. She scooted around, trying to redirect her aim.

In one swift, fluid movement, the quarry turned and shot.

The experienced spy-girl ducked, narrowly avoiding the bullet. Ella gave the bin a good, sturdy kick. It shuffled forwards and would have knocked over the enemy spy, but a slow, lumbering rubbish bin was no match for a skilled, nimble spy. Ella danced around, trying to keep behind the bin.

"You!" the enemy yelled, "You're that brat from Starquarters, aren't you? Send my greetings - Bang! - to your boss! Bang!" The two shots curled past Ella's hair. She thought quickly, grabbing a handful of the spilled contents of the bin and lobbing it at the man. He screamed muffled curses, shooting at Ella all the while.

The bullets hurled towards Ella. She ducked her head, leaned left and sprinted forwards, dodging this way and that. "Bang!" she screamed, closing her hand in on the trigger as she lunged at the man.

Ella slammed on the ground. She felt a barrel being held to her head and was about to curse. The man had trapped her. "Good," a menacing grunt sounded, "for a GIRL spy. But you're a bit too young to be playing fighters, are you?" Ella winced, gripping her gun. However much this person underestimated her, she knew that she was agile enough to...

Ella kicked her legs up in a hoop shape, knocking the man's hand away. "Argh!" roared the man as he misfired, the bullets bouncing off the ground. Ella rolled to one side, locking the adult spy's arms together and bringing him crashing to the ground. The 'crash' was one of the most satisfying things that Ella had ever heard.

She aimed steadily at the man's head, and with a single tug on her trigger, everything was over.

Ah. Nothing more satisfying as getting an enemy spy. Ella got on her walkie talkie, ready to send the enemy spy back to Starquarters for questioning. After that good day of work, she figured that a cheeseburger would top things off nicely.

I chose this story because it had a sense of humor, it was gripping, and the perfect action short story!
