Chapter 1
To the actors of the films I want to say thank you. Thank you for portraying my friends and family in such a light that they will be remembered forever. I admit that there are some that have been more richly portrayed than others but that is because I was closer to them.
To Mr Alan Rickman. It is possible that you had the hardest job, because you played the character closest to my heart. I am glad you had the extra information because it allowed you insight into his heart. A huge heart that, as I was not to be given light was to show power and courage. I thank you for making people of the muggle and magical world remember my uncle forever. Even though you have moved on to be with him, perhaps you can imagine the world he meant to me by the conversations we had.
To Mr Ralph Fiennes, Mr Christian Coulson, Mr Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Mr Frank Dilane. I am sure that you all enjoyed playing this role. Somehow you managed to bring through the warmth that I could see in him without be needing to be there. He was loving to those who really mattered and I feel you saw that.
To James and Oliver Phelps. Fred and George were my very best of friends and they are immortalised in history thanks to you two. I think it helped that in reality you are very much like them but now we can rest in the knowledge that people all over the world have come to love them and love their fun way of life as well.
To Robert Pattinson. I wish I had been there but I know I couldn’t have done more than I did. It was too hard. Thank you for showing people what a wonderful person Cedric was, as it seems you are very similar in real life yourself.
To Natalia Tena. What a wonderful woman you portrayed and I’m glad in some way I got to see you do it.
Helena Bonham-Carter. I don’t think another person could have given more than you did. When you love someone and yet also love to hate them it is truly inspiring. I still have scars, but will keep them to show them to people with pride rather than anything else.
I couldn’t possibly write about everyone. These are just a few. Those that took the greatness and managed in some small way to have them remembered, not only by me and their families but by generations of muggles and wizards and witches.
