While prowling through the forrest, Shadow saw a slight movement in some bushes nearby. She crept forward, taking out her sleek bow. With her keen vision, she saw a small, scrawny, female deer perched on a rock on the other side of the bush. Her mouth watered imagining what her luck would taste like. it was becoming fall, so the deer population was leaving her dark, quiet woods quickly. This was the first deer she had seen in months. she had been living off of berries and acorn pancakes for that time. She silently drew back the arrow with a practiced arm. She breathed in and as she breathed out again, sent the arrow flying into the doe's chest, puncturing the heart of the animal. The deer fell to the ground as Shadow rushed out to grab it, but before she could retrieve it, a large wolf darted out from tick brush across the clearing and dragged the dear away. 

Shadow's shoulders slumped as she headed back into the forrest. 'All of the animals must eat' she though, but that didn't make her feel any better. After a while, Shadow realized, that she was jus wandering aimlessly and stopped abruptly. she didn't like to do anything without reason. Instead, she lightened her steps and continued on her way so she was more hunting than wandering. 

Again, she saw a rustling in the bushes out of the corner of her eye, but the movement was not of any animal she had ever seen. She stopped dead in her tracks. Looking out into a small patch of light, she saw a person. Of course, Shadow had never seen anyone other than her parents and she had made herself forget them long ago so, naturally, she felt threatened. so, like another animal, she attacked, drawing one of her large knives and pointing it at the girl's face. As she did this though, she saw past the girl and what she saw stunned her. I huge building with columns rising from the main structure here and there stood behind the frightened girl, towering over them both. 

As you may have guessed, That building was Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
