Not A Mudblood, But A Pureblood.
Chapter 9
Raven and Severus waited in Dumbledore’s office. Millicent Bagnol the Minister of Magic came into the office first, with Alastor Moody and Kinglsey Shacklebolt. Shortly after Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall came in Raven and Severus stood waiting for someone to speak. Dumbledore looked at the Minister. “Harry is with his maternal aunt.” Raven wasn’t happy about this decision but didn’t protest. “Peter Pettigrew is dead.” The Minister responded. “We think it was Sirius.” Kinglsey added. Raven sat back down. She listened, but she couldn’t speak, she was numb. It wasn’t until Alastor touched her shoulder that she came back to reality. Raven then noticed that Kingsley, the Minister and Professor McGonagall had left. “Raven I know this has been a long horrible night, but we need you here.” Alastor said indicating that they needed her full attention. Raven looked up at him and then looked to Dumbledore. “Did you know?” She asked with a tear streaming down her face. Dumbledore looked at her puzzled. “Raven I don’t know what you’re referring to.” He said puzzled. Even Severus and Alastor looked at her confused. “Who my father is.” She said standing up looking straight at Dumbledore with tears in her eyes. Dumbledore had looked stunned; Alastor and Severus were still confused. “He talked to you, didn’t he?” Albus said coming closer to her. “Dumbledore, What aren’t you telling us?” Moody asked looking at him, then Raven, then Severus. Raven sat back down with tears in her eyes. She looked out the window as she spoke. “He could have killed. I could have stopped him.” She said blaming herself. “He wouldn’t kill me, so I asked him why.” She said looking down. “His exact words were, ‘It would be foolish to destroy something you created.’” She said shaking her head. Alastor and Severus were in shock and Albus looked sadden. “I’m so sorry Raven.” Raven then stood up in anger. “You knew and you didn’t tell me.” She said with full force of anger. Severus mood closer to her, while Albus stepped back. “Lord Voldermort is my father and you didn’t have the decency to tell me the truth!” She said with tears streaming down her face. She ripped off an arm warmer she wore over her left arm. “I’m not a Mudblood am.” She screeched. Albus shook his head no. The portraits were all awake and looking around. “You’re a pureblood. Your mother was in Ravenclaw, father in Slytherin.” A too familiar voice said, Raven turned to see the Sorting Hat speaking to her. Raven looked at the hat then to Alastor, then Albus and then Severus. She turned to the window, turned into a raven and flew out the window in to the dark.
