Stranded?
Chapter 1
The places I live in most regularly are London and Hogwarts. Diagon Alley is one of the regular stops for Knight Bus but I have never used it. I can’t imagine my uncle or my father being very pleased with me getting on it. Can you imagine Professor Severus Snape riding it?
“emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard.”
The conductor is Stan Shunpike. You see him around here and there. Especially in the Leaky Cauldron. He’s ok I’s the head I have a problem with. It’s not scary though. Ern is the driver, I hate his glasses.
I know Harry Potter has used it before and to be honest that is where I get most of my information from. At least we have some kind of help. If I needed to get home at least there would be a way. It’s cheap considering it doesn’t matter where you are going. No expense spared you could say.
There are no chairs but beds inside. My uncle always said it was filled with vagrants and people that were useless. This was probably just to deter me.
I say I’ve never used it but I’ve had several “encounters” with it.
When I ran away after the Battle of Hogwarts, I felt as though I had no place to go. It did turn up once or twice. I don’t know whether people had asked them to find me or what was going on but each time that they turned up I refused to get on. My excuse was that that I may be in need of help, maybe transport and people but I didn’t know where I wanted to go.
Stan always found this to be quite a problem. “Well if you got no place you wanna go, we got no witch place to take ya” He always found it amusing. “Well you know what to do when you need us” he would say,
“yeah I know” stick out my wand.
I was apparating everywhere at the time, not what I needed and unfortunately by that stage I didn’t use my wand much. It wasn’t even a tool that I carried with me all that often.
What do I know about the knight bus? Not all that much other than if you want to sleep, it’s the wrong place. It squeezes in and out of places in the muggle world and it’s fast.
