This story, at most, concerns a Girl, a Wand, a School, and a Headmaster. It also concerns a Mistake. We will get to the Mistake later, but you shall know soon enough. The Girl was a small girl, only eleven, and very bright for her age. Her name was Ella Mayes. Before we learn about the Wand, we must first be told of the School. The School was Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, incidentally where Ella's family had gone from generation to generation. The Mayes were smart folk of a large family, thought to have originated with the School itself, over a thousand years ago. They were wizards of extraordinary talent, though modest of their abilities to anyone they spoke. The Wand, the Girl's Wand, was a Wand of equal extraordinary power, handed down to the Girl by her earliest ancestor- Godric Gryffindor. The Headmaster of the School, him we shall meet later. This is where the Mistake comes in. It was a kind of Mistake that cannot be reversed- a Mistake that kills.
