They Were Fine
Chapter 14
Evan was worried, all the friends were. The three girls weren't back yet and the task was tonight. They'd decided to carry out Ella's original plan. The invisibility cloak had been duplicated and they were ready. Or at least they hoped they were.
"It's tonight," Evan said worriedly.
"Really? I had no idea," Lucas said. The others glared at him. He winced slightly. "Sorry."
"We need them," James said in a strangled whisper.
"We'll see them tonight," Lebron said. The others shuddered. They knew that they'd see them tonight in the graveyard, but in what state, they couldn't say. There was a question that remained unspoken but each remaining friend was thinking it. What would happen to them in the real world if they died here?
"We'll be fine," Eloise said. She sounded more confident than she was. In the past few months, she hadn't seen her best friends. She was terrified, the same as anyone would be in that position. The friends all knew that there was no way of telling what had happened to the girls.
They were fine though. They made it to the graveyard and came back, alive, with the three girls. The Hufflepuffs were broken though, changed. They'd been through so much. When the friends found them, they could hardly recognise their three friends. They'd lost hope. Ella, Rhianna and Jocelyn had lost hope. The three girls who'd always been so full of life and hope. It was sad to see.
The eight friends and Harry arrived back in Hogwarts to a lot of (understandable) confusion. They were cries of outrage, the nine children being accused of cheating.
"He's back," Ella croaked. The audience's eyes widened as they realised the girls who'd been missing were back. "Lord Voldemort is back."
"But how...?" Fudge gasped. Nobody knew whether he was on about the girls reappearance or Ella's announcement.
"He's been keeping us captive," Rhianna said. She turned her arms to show off the scars. Ella and Jocelyn followed suit.
"Property of Death Eaters?" they gasped. Madam Pomfrey bustled over and took them to the hospital wing.
