Tom and I used to live in an orphanage. Tom never knew I could turn into a snake, until one day when we were out in the deepest edges of the forest, Tom started in a language I didn't understand, so I just transformed into a snake. He was saying "bring back my treasure". I had no idea what he was talking about so I transformed back to a skinny, straight haired girl and sped after him. When I got there, huffing and puffing and shaking with sweat, I tapped Tom's shoulder and almost jumped with what I saw. Tom's usually handsome face was filled with revenge and hatred, nothing I had seen before on his usually happy go lucky face. "Tom?" He turned. "What do you want, Matron," he snarled. "I don't care if you make me get punished." I leaped back. "T-T-Tom....I'm not Matron." "Well then, who are you?" "I'm Nagini, your sister." "I don't believe you." I stared at him. "Look into my eyes." I pulled Tom. His face filled with fury faded and a scared one replaced it. "W-What happened," whimpered Tom. I didn't want to tell him now, but it's crucial for him to know. He would never again trust if I told him, but I'm his sister! As I pondered my choices, my feelings took over and and I started crying on his shoulder. Tom's eyes widened and he said, "Was it something I've done?" After many minutes, I started telling him the story. After I was done, I started crying again and this time Tom patted my head and said, "It's going to be okay." "But why can you talk to snakes?" The questions started arising. "Well Nagini, why can you understand?" Should I have told him? My natural instincts took over and I whispered, "I can turn into a snake at will." Tom's concerned face now showed the tiniest hint of jealousy. "I know someday I will become one permanently." He stretched his hand out. "You promise even if you turn into a snake, you'll stay with me?" "Yes, i will." I smiled. And we shook on it.
