Professor Darkstorm'S Cookies
Chapter 8
Professor
Celeste enjoyed the cookie. Chocolate chip of course, the most overdone (for
sheer deliciousness reasons) cookie of them all.
It melted in her mouth, chocolaty
goodness, still warm, and soft. She asked for another cookie, which Professor
Darkstorm handed her. It too was as good as the first.
“These are exceptional, I’m going to
have to get the recipe from you, Scott.”
“I wrote it down here for you.” He
said, handing her the piece of paper.
“You wrote it already?” She said,
taking the page and reading it. “You’re good.”
“Thank you. I try.” He said,
smiling.
She rubbed her head. “What was I
going to say? I can’t remember.”
Professor Darkstorm shrugged. “No
idea. But we’ve been here long enough, come, I think it’s time to give the
students their dormitory back.”
“Yes.” Professor Celeste muttered,
standing. “I just have that feeling I was going to say something. I can’t remember
what it was.”
“Happens to the best of us.”
Professor Darkstorm said, walking to the door. “Coming?”
He
asked.
“Oh...yes.” She said, leaving. They
walked down the hallway just a few steps before Professor Darkstorm stopped.
“blast, I forgot my notebook. You go ahead, you turn here anyway. Goodnight!”
“Goodnight, Henrick,” she said,
pondering. “I still feel like I forgot something.”
“Yes, well, you’ll remember it when
none of us are around.” He said, chuckling.
“No kidding.” She laughed. She waved
and walked down the hallway.
Professor Darkstorm returned to the
room, grabbed his notebook and gave a huge sigh.
Scott rushed over and gave him a
huge hug. “RAE YOU WERE FANTASTIC!” He said.
“I felt my heart beating the whole
time!” He said, “How long until this wears off?”
“It only lasts an hour, you’ve
looked like that for twenty minutes. Remember guys to eat the forgetfulness
cookies after she changes back, that way none of us know what happened here."
"Scott!" someone shouted. "Scott!" It came from all around.
He looked around. People were vanishing, the room was going black.
Scott found himself in his bed with Greg throwing books at him. "Professor Celeste wants her Ceres essay in two hours. You'd better get up."
Scott groaned. "Dreams aren't fair."
