Never held it against me
Chapter 3
My uncle, in fact my whole family, as limited as that may be are not very talkative and I always felt that Hagrid was the perfect person to go to when I needed to chat. Nothing was ever too much; he was never too busy. He could always spare the time. He knew that I must be in need of a hug every so often so gave me tons of those. He knew my uncle was a good person simply by what I had told him and had known him long enough. I also loved hearing him talk about my mother.
The one thing I never asked about was my father. When I found out that he was the reason that Hagrid got expelled it made me wonder why Hagrid was so good to me. I’m sure he knew who I was and despite all of that he never held it against me, my father or my uncle. I couldn’t believe it. For this reason, I have always found Hagrid the most amazing person. In later years he was taken prisoner by Voldemort and I don’t know what he said to him but it must have been something similar to the last time, because this time I found out that my BFG didn’t retaliate. He was just the same as always.
I can’t not mention his half-brother Grawp, having one myself I find it quite strange. He went of to find the giants, to recruit them. At the same time, I was recruiting elves, trees and anything else I could find. He was fantastic. He still keeps a place at the castle, and in our hearts.
