Chapter 2
I don’t think my uncle got punished. I don’t think there were any repercussions for him, at least I hope there weren’t. Professor McGonagall had what I can only remember as a gleam around her and I did tell her that. Sort of a transfiguration glow about her, that’s what I usually call it. She tidied up my hair and decided that it should be more pulled back and neat. (it stayed like that for a long time after that). I thought maybe I would be going to live with Hagrid. I wouldn’t have minded that, he seemed nice, but Professor Dumbledore wanted me in the castle.

After that I went to live in the dungeons of the castle with my uncle. The only time I got to see Hagrid was when I went to his house. Now that I wasn’t such a secret, he allowed me to go round there. He allowed me to go for Christmas and introduced me to Charlie Weasley, who was interested in Care of Magical Creatures and spent a lot of time with Hagrid. My first Christmas present came from Hagrid. He was also shocked to find out that I didn’t know when my birthday was. He presented me with a cake and surprised me greatly. From then on, my time with Hagrid was spent with him and Charlie Weasley. The two went hand in hand.

It was also Hagrid that came with me the year I met Fred & George at their birthday party. If it hadn’t have been for him I don’t think I would have gone. But it was quite the occasion. I even took a present for each of them so I guess he had educated me well. He also started letting me start getting on the train or at least towards the train to greet the students every year. They had no idea who I was but the Weasleys did. Hagrid was supposed to help me get a few tings in Diagon Alley for school at the beginning of each school year but that ended up going a little differently to what was planned.

It was a great idea and I started Hogwarts brilliantly. I spent loads of time with Hagrid and he gave me tons of advice to get me through the school year. It seemed there were tons of things to remember. For my second year, Hagrid was definitely focused on Harry Potter and his friends. I didn’t mind. I quite liked the focus being taken away from me. I missed Fluffy though.
