The Hogwarts School Motto

The Hogwarts Motto is “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus”, that means “Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon”. This doesn’t make much sense on its own. There is a theory, that consists of a personification of the school as “the dragon”. Considering that, the motto can be seen as a warning… It means that the school is there to educate young wizards and not to threaten anyone, but if you cross the line, you’ll suffer. An example of this theory can be the Battle of Hogwarts, the school defended itself against Voldemort’s followers and the students in an act of loyalty towards it.

Hogwarts Coat of Arms

The Hogwarts Coat of Arms is divided into four and each quarter includes the house and its respective animals: the Gryffindor lion, the Slytherin serpent, the Ravenclaw eagle, and the Hufflepuff badger. The houses are supposed to represent its founders: Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff. In the center of the emblem, which resembles a shield, there is an ‘H’, that is the initial of the school. Beneath the shield, there is the school motto “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus”.

“A Dramione Love Story” by Hermione Jean Malfoy: A Book Review

Author of “A Dramione Love Story: Hermione Jean Malfoy

I really liked this Dramione book. But I still find it a strange story. Dramione, which means Draco and Hermione, and quite strange. Normally Ron and Hermione are together towards the end of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince book. But instead, Ron and still with Lavender, and Hermione and Draco are together. Ron tries to break up with Lavender and get into Hermione.

Hermione is confused. Already because Harry and Ron aren't going to talk to her anymore if they find out she's dating Draco, and she's not sure how he feels about Draco.

And with Lavender's request, Hermione feels even more confused, because deep down, she loves Ron more than Draco, but she doesn't know how to react to that.

So, I advise you indulge, it is really very good. There are also parts 2 and 3 as separate books that follow this book. So if you enjoyed the first book, check out the Parts 2 and 3!

Even though the story is strange, I liked it a lot, so read this book.

Fun Fact

It’s time for your daily fun fact in today’s issue of the Hogwarts Daily News! Can you believe that Haley Joel Osment could have played Harry Potter?! I know! I, and probably you, can’t imagine Harry Potter being played by any other actor other than Daniel Radcliffe! In fact, Harry Potter would never be the same if the actors that played the roles in it didn’t! That’s a tongue twister! Also, did you know that about 300 KIDS auditioned for the role of Harry Potter in a span of 7 months! That’s a lot of kids! But in the end, Daniel Radcliffe got the part of Harry Potter! And also, as we know, Emma Watson got the part of Hermione Granger, and Rupert Grint got the part of Ron Weasley!
