It's a bit weird now
Chapter 9
A lot of crazy and chaotic things had happened in the space of a month after Ella had been petrified. The friends were used to craziness (they were the crazy friend group after all) but this was something else completely. They'd lost one of their number, they had to keep reminding themselves that this was only temporary. Eloise had found this diary and started writing to it. If she'd known anything about Harry Potter, she'd have known immediately what this was, but she didn't. She also didn't tell her friends about it. The Ravenclaw boys ended up trapped inside their dormitory. Hermione had been petrified, leading the seven friends (plus Harry and Ron) into the forest for a dangerous adventure that nearly resulted in their deaths. Lovely.
"All students will report to their dormitories immediately," was the announcement that piqued 6 of the remaining friends' attention. They all knew what was happening so the six friends ran to the staff-room and hid in the wardrobe with the boys from the trio. It was much more squished than it was in the book they'd read because squishing eight children into a wardrobe was no mean feat.
"Whose bodies?" Madam Pomfrey said. Bodies? All six of the friends stopped cold. The message they knew was 'her body will lie in the chamber forever'. There was only one reason that resulted in changes and that was if the friends were involved. Six friends were there unscathed. This meant that Tom had either dragged Ella's petrified body down there or Eloise had been taken. Eloise. The six of them knew it. She'd been acting strangely, she'd obviously been writing to the diary. Harry and Ron weren't fazed as they'd already seen the message 'their bodies will lie in the chamber forever'.
"Ginny Weasley and Eloise Brennan," McGonnagall said. Ron let out a small whimper and the six friends slumped. Lockhart came in cheerily and the teachers all managed to get rid of him. The teachers left, after deciding to close the school.
"I know you said you wouldn't tell us anything," Ron started. "But please, does Ginny survive?"
"In our timeline," Rhianna said. Ron nodded hollowly. James put a comforting arm around Ron. "I have no doubt she'll be fine. But Eloise..."
"She'll be fine," Jocelyn said. "She has to be."
All eight students went to Lockhart's office. He was packing, like the friends knew he would be.
"Going somewhere?" Evan sassed.
"Well-er-actually," he stumbled.
"You're coming to save the girls," Rhianna backed up Evan.
"There was nothing in the job description," Lockhart said desperately, still packing everything he could reach. Ron and Harry started talking to him while the friends were feeling foully towards Lochart, so they all started setting fire to Lockhart's things.
"Books can be misleading!" he finally said. Rhianna took the opportunity to take the fraud's wig off of him and then set fire to it.
"You are saving the girls," Lucas deadpanned. Nobody in the room had ever seen Lucas serious before but there's a first time for everything. The students took Lockhart to Myrtle's bathroom.
