Happy 4th of July!
Before we start this issue, we would like to say happy 4th of July/Independence Day for those of you who celebrate it!!! In case you didn’t know: the 4th of July, or Independence Day, is a day to commemorate the birth of American independence and the Declaration of Independence. May you all have a wonderful 4th of July! Even though we might not be able to get together and party to celebrate the 4th of July, our spirit will still be strong, and we can still celebrate this festive holiday! Have a great day, keep smiling, and stay positive!

GOOD NEWS!
So, we have some good news! I don’t know if you know this already, but lately, the Hogwarts Daily News has been sabotaged. Now I know you’re thinking “how is that good news?” Well, the good news comes after we tell you what the problem was. Someone who has access to the slides with our articles in it (the people in the official HDN and possibly old members) messed up the spelling by adding h’s and taking our h’s in our articles. This could be a fluke in the Google system, just a bug or something, but we don’t know. We fixed this problem immediately, though it was annoying to fix! Then, a few days later, someone (we don’t know if it was on accident or not) deleted 40 slides from our slideshow! They contained valuable articles! If you want to learn more, read my book called “THE HDN IS GETTING SABOTAGED”. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT ONE OF OUR MEMBERS WERE ABLE TO RECOVER THE DELETED SLIDES! (I also wrote a book telling you that the slides were recovered!) So now we have the slides back!!! Yay!! However, (we don’t know if it was on accident or not, but if it was on purpose, then this applies) if you were the one who purposely deleted and messed up the slides, please come forward before it is too late! Thank you for reading, we at the HDN are so glad for this good news that the slides were recovered and we have them!

Wands: Woods Part 4
Poplar
The wands made out of this wood are the most reliable and have a consistent strength and power. They seek a master with a moral vision.
Red Oak
This is a wand wood for those who are hot-tempered. It has unusually fast reactions and is the perfect wand for a duel. Its ideal master has a light touch and is quick-witted and adaptable. Their owners are usually creators of distinctive spells and are very good at fighting. This is one of the most gorgeous woods.
Redwood
It is known to choose a master that makes the right choices and snatch advantages from catastrophes.
Rowan
This wand wood is the best at defensive spells. It is a difficult wood to turn to the Dark side and prefers those who are pure-earthed and clear-headed.
Silver Lime
This is an unusual and highly attractive wood, that is known to perform best for Seers and Legilimens.
Spruce
It is known as a difficult wood to make wands out of and it requires a firm hand. It is known to seek masters who are good at casting spells and with a sense of humor. It is a wand wood that is incredibly loyal to their owners and that can produce fantastic dramatic effects.
Sycamore
This wand wood needs new experiences and do not like mundane activities. It looks for an owner that is curious, vital and adventurous. It learns and adapts to situations very quickly. This is a highly-prized wand wood.
Vine
This is one of the less common types of wand wood. Their owner is known to be a witch or wizard that seeks great purposes and as a vision beyond the ordinary. It is a sensitive wand wood.
Walnut
This wand seeks highly intelligent witches and wizards, that have an inventive and innovative mind. It is a difficult wood to dominate and can become a lethal weapon for wizards or witches with no conscience.
Willow
It is wood with healing powers and seeks a master with insecurity, but with great potential.
Yew
This is one of the rarest kinds of wood and is ideal for those witches or wizards that are unusual themselves. These wands are often attracted to the Dark Arts. When this wand is buried with its owner, it will grow into a tree to guard its owner’s grave.
Well, there you have it! A list of wand woods and a description of each. Make sure to look out for more articles about wands! If you didn’t see Parts 1-3 of the Wands: Woods series, make sure to do so. Read our recent issues and check out Parts 1-3 as well as other exciting articles!

Fun Fact
It’s time for your fun fact in today’s issue! So, you probably know Stephen King, a famous author (many genres, but his most famous books are horror!). But did you know that Stephen King thought Dolores Umbridge was a great villain?! Yes, J.K. Rowling made Dolores Umbridge such a terrible person and a great villain that even Stephen King was freaked out by Umbridge! Stephen King even wrote "The gently smiling Dolores Umbridge, with her girlish voice, toad-like face, and clutching, stubby fingers, is the greatest make-believe villain to come along since Hannibal Lecter," in a review on the Order of the Phoenix! J.K. Rowling definitely made Umbridge one torturous character!
