Helga Hufflepuff was a powerful witch and was also one of four of the Hogwarts Founders. She admired those who valued Loyalty and hard work. Helga Hufflepuff was born in the tenth century and was born in the valleys of wales. There was little known information of her childhood however due to the location of Hogwarts, it is speculated by some that she resided close to the north of England. As it is widely known she is one of the four founders of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Although Helga got on with all of her fellow founders she was extremely close to Rowena Ravenclaw. Hufflepuff helps to build the school and while the other founders took student based on either ambition, Bravery or Intelligence amongst other traits, she took those who had all of the qualities mentioned. Having not been selected by the others, treating them all equally. Although she was particularly known for loyalty, fair play and had an affinity for hard workers. She bought people from different backgrounds together possibly rivals or those who shared different beliefs or opinion. To help in the building of the school and was known for her pleasantly charming ways. Helga had a natural gift for food related charms and her recipes are still used for the basis for many Hogwarts feasts. She also arranged for the house-elf contingent to work in the kitchens underneath the great hall. After a time in which the school enjoyed great pasparity, Helga's fellow founder Salazar Slytherin Proposed a controversial action in which muggle borns would not be allowed to attend the school.Helga Hufflepuff strongly disagreed with this. Helga lends her name to one of the four houses. She does not seem to have implied very particular standards for the members in the house. She chose the colours Black and Gold. She symbolised her house with a Badger.
