How Is A Supermassive Black Hole Created?
Chapter 4
A supermassive black hole is a bigger and more powerful version of a black hole, but how one is born is a different story. The only way you can figure that out is if you go back in time to the beginning of the universe. Back then, there were giant clouds of gas left from the big bang. Some parts of the giant clouds of gas were thick enough for millions of stars to form. Many of those stars were supermassive. They burned hot and fast, and then exploded, creating millions of black holes.
It starts out with a bunch of black holes, one bigger than the rest, the others tiny. As the tiny black holes came closer to the big black hole, the big black hole engulfs the smaller black hole, making the black hole more massive. As it engulfs more black holes, it gets bigger and bigger, and more massive. As the black hole sucks in more gas, sometimes it overloads, creating the most powerful flamethrower in the universe.
The supermassive black hole has ignited a quasar.
