Death Eater'S Allies

Chapter 5

Narcissa Malfoy defected when her son Draco was nearly killed by Fiendfyre and a Sectumsempra cast by Harry Potter.  She is married to Lucius Malfoy, and provided refuge for the Death Eaters at Malfoy Manor. She also hated the fact that Lucius was imprisoned in Azkaban following the Hall of Prophecy battle, and sealed an unbreakable vow with Snape to keep Draco safe during his attempt to kill Dumbledore.  She lied to Voldemort abut Harry's death at the Battle of Hogwarts, saving her family from incarceration. More about her will be available in the chapter on the Malfoys.

Golgomath was a giant. He killed the Gurg (leader) Karkus during Rubeus Hagrid and Olympe Maxime's trip to the giant's colony. He told the Eaters about the two, which led to Maxime attacking the giants with magic to save Hagrid. He was persuaded to participate in the Battle of Hogwarts by Walden Macnair. His ultimate fate is unknown.

Scabior was part of a group of Snatchers led by Fenrir Greyback, catching wizards and witches for gold. He captured Harry, Ron, and Hermione and brought them to Malfoy Manor, where Dean Thomas, Griphook, Dobby, Garrick Ollivander, and Luna Lovegood were already being held. The prisoners escaped, though Hermione had some injuries. He was Stunned by Bellatrix when she took Godric Gryffindor's sword from a member of his party. Scabior was later killed when Neville Longbottom exploded a Hogwarts bridge, sending a group of Snatchers hurtling to their doom. He was seen wearing Hermione's pink scarf, which he collected while trapping her.

Dolores Umbridge served as the Hogwarts DADA teacher for a year. She disliked half-breeds and Muggle-borns, and participated in Mary Cattermole's trial, in which she and Yaxley were Stunned. Hermione stole Salazar Slytherin's locket, which Umbridge had got from Mundungus Fletcher as a bribe. Umbridge used it to claim she was related to the Selwyn family. She was imprisoned in Azkaban after the Battle of Hogwarts. More will be available in her own entry.

Quirinus Quirrel was used as a host for Voldemort when he was bodiless. He was burned to ashes when he attempted to throttle Harry. He traveled around the world in hopes of recieving training from the Dark Lord, to ensure he was never again laughed at, seeing as he was regarded as a wimp in his early life. He was forced to retrieve the Sorcerer's Stone, and when he failed, was possessed by Voldemort. However, Harry could not be touched by Voldemort because his mother had bestowed him with protective power. Voldemort left Quirrel to die.
