What About Home?
Chapter 6
June 3rd
After a LONG time, we finally got home. I didn't exactly have time to write in this diary. But lets just say it included weird moving brick walls, more magic, my stomach feeling like it was about to explode, more magic, and, finally, more magic. But that was all yesterday. Today, I wanted to have a nice relaxing day.
My mom, Christina, came in. "Hey honey. Excited to go to Hogwarts?", she said, which then made me realize of everything else. What would happen to my muggle education? My old school? My friends? And, my family?
It was as if my mom had read my mind.
"Don't worry! Everything will be fine. Anyway, aren't you kinda used to not always being around me and you dad? And just your brother, and our nanny?", she said, which was true. I had a nanny named Susan. She wasn't the best. She smelt like dirty feet, and had white hair even though she was 37 years old....
And my parents both worked full time jobs. And my brother, Ricky, wasn't the best....
I was kind of actually happy to be away from Susan. Though, I was gonna miss everything else. Well, maybe I won't miss Ricky either....
"Mom, do you think I have to go to Hogwarts? I mean, it's not like they're gonna force you? Right?", I asked, worriedly.
My mom shakes her head.
"No, it's not something you have to go to. But, it would be better if you did! I'm not saying this because I don't want you here. I do! But I think you should go because it's what's best for you. Then, you know how to control your, er, magical powers!", my mom said, encouraging me to go.
You know what, I think I will go. What's the harm?
I decided I'd Hogwarts a try.
