Chapter 1
You can’t say that Harry Potter is not someone that anyone in the wizarding world has ever heard of. To me he is shorter than average, has really bad eyesight and cannot be mentioned without people going “oh yes, with you know who!” and the odd glance in my direction. People generally do it because they know my uncle was a Death Eater, they don’t know the rest.

1st September 1991 I was actually allowed to go on the train to Hogwarts that year. I waited for the arrival of a first year of the name Harry Potter. Hagrid had described him to me and told me to wait for him. I didn’t know much about getting on the train but it was more than him. He didn’t even know about our world. About being a wizard. He was easy to spot, he had an owl. His cousin was really fat and I think had been eating Harry’s meals for the last 10 years. I had always been told to be “inconspicuous”. I may only have been twelve but I had to make sure that Harry got on that train. In my eyes that was the reason for me being there. It wasn’t the easiest job though because on several occasions I had to pull him away from muggles. If I had been older, I would have transfigured in order to get him onto the platform.

Luckily as always, the Weasley’s arrived just in time. I couldn’t help but notice that Harry made a speedy dash for them. I wasn’t surprised. I was eager to see them too. Percy went through, then Fred and George. I gave Harry a bit of a nudge to go up to them, by that time it was only Mrs Weasley, Ginny and Ron left. He finally got onto the platform and loaded his trunk. I was really glad I didn’t have anything though. All you could hear were families saying goodbye to each other, owls and friends saying hello. I went up to Mrs Weasley and was really pleased to see her, got on the train and left for another year at Hogwarts.
