Harry opened his mouth slightly as if to say hi but his brain wasn't working at the moment so he closed it and sat down, not looking at the blond boy.
Harry thought the kid looked familiar but didn't know from where. Maybe he lived in Godric's Hollow with Harry or maybe Harry had seen him in Diagon Alley... Harry ignored this and opened his book 'Tales of Beedle the Bard' to page ten on his favorite story. "What are you reading?" Harry looked up at the boy and blinked a couple times. "Me?" Harry asked then realized he was the only other person in the compartment. The boy nodded "Oh, well, I'm reading The Warlock's Hairy Heart..." The boy tilted his head, frowning slightly. "I've never heard of that before." Harry wondered if he was Muggle born but decided it would be rude to ask. "It's a children's story." Harry said, shrugging. The boy nodded again and Harry felt like it would be alright to go back to his book.
"Anything from the Trolley dears?" Harry heard after about twenty minutes of reading and re-reading his book. (Harry was a fast reader, Remus had taught him to read one he was two years old). Harry felt his pocket and noticed he had six gallons to spend. "Could I have a chocolate frog please?" the Trolley Witch smiled and nodded, handing over a chocolate frog. "That'd be four sickels dear." Harry handed over a single gallon that the Trolley Witch took. Harry stopped her from giving him a couple kuts "It's fine really, I don't need it."
The Trolley Witch left and Harry realized that the other boy hadn't gotten anything. "Why didn't you buy anything?" Harry blurted, sitting down opposite the boy. Harry ran a hand through his hair as he said it, it was a thing he did when nervous. The boy shrugged. "I don't have enough mone- I mean, I wasn't hungry. I had a late breakfast today." Harry nodded, wondering what the blond boy was hiding from him. It wasn't his business though so he didn't ask but he thought he saw the boy holding his wrist as he spoke covering a zig zag shape of some sort.
It was now about nine pm and the sky was dark as the train slowed to a stop. A voice echoed around the train "Please leave your things here, they will be brought up to Hogwarts, you may get off the train." Harry jumped up, excited and scared for Hogwarts.
On the way out he walked alone and heard the same Ravenclaws from earlier complaining about how the person's grammar was all wrong and "He should've said 'you may get off the train, please leave your things here.' " Harry laughed in his head, he had heard Sirius say to Remus how the Ravenclaws were stuck up and he would just die if Harry was Ravenclaw. 'What if I am Ravenclaw...' Harry thought, biting his lip. 'No, I'm not smart enough to be in Ravenclaw. Dad wants me in Gryffindor so that's where I'm going.'
