Chapter 1
"Harry." Lily Potter whispered, shaking her son Harry Potter, who was lying in bed asleep. "Harry you need to get up! Guess what day it is?" Lily smiled brightly as Harry opened his eyes sleepily. "What day is it" Harry muttered. "Um... Monday?" he guessed grinning slightly. Lily's smile widened. "Close. Keep trying." Harry thought for a second. "Friday?" Lily smiled "Yes! Your birthday! You're turning eleven!" Lily spun around and left the room chanting "Harry's turning eleven! Harry's turning eleven!" Harry laughed, excited, and got out of bed, following his mum.
In the dinning room James Potter, Harry's dad, was making Harry's favorite breakfast, bacon and eggs. "Still in pajamas?" James asked Harry teasingly. Harry looked down at his clothes. He was wearing muggle gray gym shorts and a black t-shirt "Yep." Harry laughed and hugged his dad, who hugged back and lifted Harry off the ground. "Put me down!" Harry said slightly rudely."Dad I'm eleven now!" but James ignored Harry. "My sons going to Hogwarts!" James shouted happily. "We're so happy for you Harry." his mum said and kissed Harry's forehead. "But I didn't do anything." Harry said confused.
"Course you did Harry!" came another voice from the door. "You're going to Hogwarts!" James put Harry down and they turned to the door of their small house. "Uncle Remus!" Harry said, shocked, but grinning. Sirius stepped out behind Remus, where he had been hiding. "Hello Harry!" they said together as Harry ran up to them. "Hello." Sirius scooped Harry into a huge hug as Remus walked over to James and Lily. "Is Harry going to Diagon Ally today or does he already have his things?" Remus asked Lily after James had gone back to the bacon not wanting it to burn.
"He got his wand last week but we were planing on bringing him there again to get a present." Lily whispered and looked over her shoulder at Sirius and Harry. Sirius was telling Harry about James first ever Quidditch match and how he won in less than ten minutes. "A record at Hogwarts! He saw the snitch right after they let it out and BAM! Caught it three seconds later!" Harry sat in awe looking at Sirius like he was a god. "Did you get to see it Uncle Sirius?"
James laughed as he placed the bacon (quite messily) onto the five plates Lily had gotten out. "It wasn't three seconds Harry it was three minutes." Harry's mouth fell open as he looked to his dad and Sirius again. "Three minutes!" Harry frowned, though his eyes were smiling, and pointed at Sirius accusingly. "You lied. Uncle Remus, Uncle Sirius lied!"
Remus looked at Sirius with fake shock. "Sirius Lupin how dare you lye to this poor child." Harry's eyebrows scrunched up. "I'm not a poor child Uncle Remus..." he muttered. Remus sighed and went back to helping James turn off the stove. "You're not poor Harry, your right." Sirius whispered to Harry ruffling Harry's pale pink dyed hair. "You'll be off to Hogwarts and you'll come back a Quidditch pro." Harry rolled his eye but smiled. "Uncle Sirius, you know they don't let first years play Quidditch..." James inturupted them. "Breakfast, come quick before Lily eats it allllllllll!" James ended up getting hit in the back of the head for that, making everyone laugh.
After breakfast Harry was forced to change by his mum who said that 'If you go in that we're not getting anything for you, understand?' so Harry had sighed and changed into his dad's old Quidditch jersey witch was huge on him but comfy. "Harry it's almost 60' out- never mind." James had just laughed at this and said that Harry looked like him when he was younger.
"Harry come on our we'll leave with out you!" Sirius called from the living room. Harry grabbed another piece of bacon and shoved it in his mouth running to the living room. James was already gone and Remus was standing in to fireplace, Floo powder in his hand.
