Hogwarts Student Council Interview

We are collaborating with the Hogwarts Student Council in an interview to Elizabeth Pawter, a member on the Council. I, Celeste Evergreen, interviewed Elizabeth Pawter, who is running for Ravenclaw House Representative in the Hogwarts Student Council.
Celeste: Hi, welcome! So, you’re running for Ravenclaw House Representative! What gave you the inspiration and idea to run for house representative? Why did you want to run?
Elizabeth: Thank you for having me! I am running for Ravenclaw House Rep. because I want to make HiH a better place and make sure Ravenclaw has a say in everything important. I saw the Student Council link, and I was hooked.
Celeste: Would you please tell us how the Hogwarts Student Council works and what we need to know before we dive into the rest of the interview?
Elizabeth: The Hogwarts Student Council is basically like Muggle Student Council, except Hogwarts, so magical. I suggested House Rep. Co-Captains, and people seemed to like that idea.
Celeste: Great, now that we know that, how are you preparing and managing your campaign to win votes?
Elizabeth: I will be honest about why I want to win, and why people should vote for me. I also made a poster with my slogan, "Vote for me, I'm the best choice! Vote for me, I'll be Ravenclaw's voice!" I am also trying to be as friendly and supportive as possible. Celeste: If you become Ravenclaw representative, what abilities do you have, and what will you do with your position and power?
Elizabeth: If I become Ravenclaw House Rep., it will be my responsibility to make some decisions for Ravenclaw, and if they don't get a say in something, that would be my fault. Some things I would like to do if I win the election are work against house favoritism, make sure Ravenclaw is in on important decisions, and, altogether, do my best to make it a better place. Also, I am muggle-born, and I want to diminish hate that comes from what your blood type is. We are all human.
Celeste: Great, thank you for your time! I wish you the best of luck!
Elizabeth: You’re welcome, and thanks for the interview! I hope more people will vote for me now that they've read this!

Harry Potter at Home

Do you want to still have your daily Harry Potter intake? In the Wizarding World website, there is a hub called Harry Potter at Home. You can find it here:
https://www.wizardingworld.com/collections/harry-potter-at-home
In this section, there are countless of HP things to keep you busy!
Some famous actors from the Harry Potter movies read chapters of the Harry Potter books! See Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jr.), and many more! You can also find articles and quizzes!
After reading the chapters, you can do the Chapter challenges, questions about the chapters to get you thinking! You can actually get house points, kind of like Hogwarts is Here, but on the HP chapters, not classes!
After reading the chapters, you can do the Chapter challenges, questions about the chapters to get you thinking! You can actually get house points, kind of like Hogwarts is Here, but on the HP chapters, not classes!
There are quizzes on some chapters of the Harry Potter books (only Sorcerer's Stone I think), and some other fun quizzes.
Harry Potter at Home is a great way to do fun Harry Potter activities while staying home in shelter-in-place/lockdown/quarantine. Harry Potter at Home is J.K Rowling’s and her Wizarding World partners’ reaction to the coronavirus!
Remember, Harry Potter at Home is free and requires no signup. On the Wizarding World website, there are tons of articles and quizzes too, not just at Harry Potter at Home!

Fun fact

There are plenty of people who audition for roles in a play or movie and get cast as something totally different. We think today’s fun fact will make you feel a bit better if you don’t get the starring role in your next school play. Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy, originally auditioned for the roles of Harry and Ron. Isn’t that crazy!?!?! I cannot imagine him in any other role than Malfoy! What do you think? Don’t forget to owl my sister Kaela Black if you have any other fun facts you want in the paper.
