The marauders map
Chapter 8
~* Back on with my (Kaila's) POV*~
I sat in silence at my Ravenclaw table. After I finished my toast I started walking towards the door. I paused when I heard my name being called from the Griffindor table. I turned around to see Sirius with his hands cupped around his mouth from calling my name.
I found a seat beside Sirius and Remus. Remus still ignored me. James began to speak, 'We have our own group. The Marauders,' his sentence was finished by Sirius, 'Since the sorting, since September, since the train.' I looked at them blankly. 'I could've gone this time at Hogwarts, all seven years, and not really cared.' I rolled my eyes teasingly at them. 'Look,' Peter said excitedly. He placed a piece of blank paper in front of me. I stared at it. Remus took out his wand and placed it on the paper. 'I solemnly swear I'm up to no good,' I stared at him, puzzled. I looked at the piece of paper as ink began to appear. I read it aloud.
'Messers, Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs, Proudly present the Marauders map.' I traced along the ink with my finger. 'And to hide it,' Sirius began as he placed his wand on the paper. 'Wait wait, whats inside?' I asked, I took his wand of the page. Remus snatched it off Sirius before opening it. I saw each name in its own banner. They all had foot prints, and some seemed to be moving. 'This is awesome! HEY! Is that me?' I looked at a banner. It said "Kaila Binding". The other banners near where I stood said "Remus Moony Lupin" "Sirius Padfoot Black" "Peter Wormtail Pettigrew" and "James Prongs Potter"
'Yes... It wasn't my idea! It was Moony,'
'WHAT!? It was clearly Prongs!'
'Yeah, as if. It was Wormtail,'
'Was not, it was Padfoot!'
Nicknames got thrown around the table. I stared at them as they argued. 'Guys guys guys. I'm not mad, just curious. That's some tricky magic and a bunch of eleven year olds managed to ace it.' I looked at them. 'I'm twelve actually,' Peter said. I stared at him. 'Take a compliment,' I said back to him.
