Chapter 16
I looked at the Marauders. They acted like last week didn't happen, like they didn't watch me turn into a murdering creature of the night. 'Christmas with the muggles!' James said excitedly as we walked into an empty compartment. 'Yeah,' I said. For me, it seemed normal to spend christmas with the muggles. 'Are you all sure you're aloud round my house for the holidays?' I asked. 'Well, its not like I can disappoint them more than I all ready have.' Sirius said. We fell silent for a moment.
After they all confirmed they were aloud, we began sharing family traditions. Then James looked at me. 'So, Kaila. what was the full moon 'incident' about?' he asked. 'Fine, you caught me. I'm a werewolf too.' I said in defeat. 'I KNEW IT!!!' Sirius called in joy. I watched as James and Peter handed him a galleon each. The rest of the journey was silent.
As we pulled into Kings cross, I saw my younger brother. He seemed excited, probably because it was christmas. We have a love-hate relationship. I would happily push him off a cliff, but I would run into a burning house for him. I watched as Sirius started poking Remus, who had fallen asleep. 'Leave him, oh look. You woke him up,' I said.
We all climbed out of the doors, being pushed by other students. James looked at me. 'So, Luna, were are your parents?' he asked. 'Don't call me Lu- Oh hey Jax.' I said. My bother had joined us in our small cluster. 'Guys, this is my brother, Jaxon. Jaxon, this is Sirius, Remus, James and Peter.' I introduced him to the Marauders. He led us to where my mum and dad stood.
We walked into the car park. I saw my dad's car, and ran over to it. I couldn't help but laugh when Sirius started cursing at the door because it wouldn't open. It was only when he pulled out his wand I told him it was locked. 'Then unlock it,' he said, putting his wand back into his pocket. 'I can't, you need a key.' I laughed. My dad walked up to the car, Jaxon by his side. He pressed on the car keys and I opened the door for Sirius. My parents helped put up the seats in the boot. I was surprised when I saw how keen the Marauders were to sit in them. Peter and James quickly scrambled in them, so the others couldn't sit in the back. I sat in the middle seat, between Sirius and Remus. 'Dad, where am I gonna sit?' Jaxon asked. 'Five minute drive, can you sit on Kaila's lap or something?' dad answered. With joy, he sat in my lap. 'Move your bony butt!' I complained, but he didn't seem to care.
Eventually, we arrived at my house. I opened the door and the Marauders all ran at it. I looked at the decorated tree and the snowflake lights around the room. 'Jaxon's got some friends coming over for christmas as well.' my Mum said as the Marauders sqeezed onto the sofa.
