"Hello?" I called out, "Is anyone there?" 11-year-old Elena has just arrived at Hogwarts. After being sorted into Gryffindor, she is dared by her fellow housemates to venture into the Forbidden Forest. Not knowing the dangers ahead of her, she accepts. But will she make it out alive?

The Dare
Chapter 3
We were all walking past the greenhouses when Marcus Foster decided to say something.
"Guys, don't you think this is kind of dangerous? I mean, there must a reason that we aren't allowed in there in the first place."
"Oh, give it a rest," a 4th year said. "It's just a bit of fun."
"Yeah. A bit of fun, that could end in death," he said.
At this, my heart skipped a beat. DEATH? Was I actually going to DIE? I was too young to die! There was so much I needed to do with my life! How would my parents feel? What if they never recover? But I couldn't let my housemates see me worried. So I just walked on. Come to think of it, how come no one saw a bunch of students just waltzing around the grounds? It wasn't like we were being very secretive. By the time my thoughts had drifted away, we were at the edge of the forest.
"Ok. The challenge is to stay in there until dawn. It's currently 11, so you'll have around 5 hours. We'll all be waiting out here, so just scream if you need anything." I could only muster a nod. I then took a deep breath and went in...
