When Hermione finally woke up, she assumed two things: it was midnight, and there was a dark figure gliding towards her. The person came to her bedside and stood over her.
"Good evening, Miss Granger." said a smiling Dumbledore.
"Professor!" Hermione squeaked. "I-I didn't-"
"Hush dear. Poppy would be furious if she found out I was interfering with your rest. But I wanted to tell you what happened to you. It is what Muggles call a Heart Attack.
"However, yours was very different. Your emotions simply were compressed too tightly in your chest so that they burst out and almost killed you."
Hermione was hopelessly lost in confusion as she noticed another figure by the doors.
"Who is that?" she asked.
"A visitor. He begged me to come see you privately and I agreed. I'll leave you." and with that, he waltzed out as Hermione tried to make out the figure coming closer.
"Hey," said Draco Malfoy.
Hermione felt suddenly jittery. She'd been planning out what to say to Draco and she felt mildly confident.
"Hi, Draco. I-" Hermione began. But Draco was kissing her before the words came out.
"Gods, I've been dreaming about kissing you again for so long Hermione. I don't know what to say." he kissed her again as he thought of the words. "But I do now. Hermione, I want to always be by you side. I want to be yours. Your boyfriend."
"But Draco- I don't know if I do. One boy I've liked for a long time likes me again and I can't decide between you. You treat me so well, but I-I just don't know." This was not what Hermione had decided on.
"First," Draco didn't look hurt, which surprised her, "I want to know something. Is it Ron Weasley?"
"Yes."
"You look tired. I'll let you get some sleep."
Draco started walking to the door.
"Wait." Hermione said. "I'm cold. Will you stay with me, Draco? Please?"
The blonde boy smiled. This was better than nothing. "Sure."
